01) Bijli Mahadev Temple (Himachal Pradesh) :

02) Veerabhadra Temple (Andhra Pradesh) :
The Temple is constructed in 1530 C.E. The temple is located in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple has around 70 Pillars supporting the roof. However one corner Pillar in the hall does not rest on the ground. In 1910 C.E, a British engineer tried to uncover the secret of the hanging pillar.
He managed to make a corner of the pillar touch the ground. But this made the ceiling to misling and distorted the Fresco paintings, what keeps this pillar hanging from the top, still remains a mystery and then there is the large foot prints in the stone in the temple. The footprint is 3 feet long. A tridde of water flows into it from underground keeping it wet.
03) Kamakya Devi Temple (Assam) :
It is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and is also considered very famous and miraculous. Kamakhya devi temple is the stronghold of Aghoris and Tantrikas. This shakti peeth is located aboout 7 Kilometers from Assam’s Capital dispur. This is 10 Kilometer away from Nilanchal Mountain. Kama temple is considered the Mahapeeth of all shakti peethas.
There is no idol picture of goddess Durga or maa Ambe in this temple, but there is a pond which is always covered with flower and water keeps flowing from it continuously. The surprising thing is that in this temple full of miracles, the Vagina of the Goddess is worshipped and here the mother menstruates, which is called Menstrutaion. Many interesting things are associated with this shakti peeth.
According to religious scriptures, this place was named Kamakhya because when lord Vishnu had cut the sati into 51 parts with his chakra to break Lord Shiva’s attachment towards her, shakti Peeth were formed wherever the parts fell. The Vagina of the mother had fallen at this place, which is a powerful peeth today.
During durga Puja, Poha Bya, Basanti Puja, Ambu Wasi and Manas Puja, lakhs of devotees come here. During ambu bachi mela, the water of Brahmaputra turns red for three days, which is considered symbol of menstruation of the Goddess. Due to the Menstruation of goddess sati, a white cloth is kept in the court of the mother for 3 days. After 3 days the color of the cloth turns red, then it given to the devotees as Prasad.
04) Amantha Padmanabha Lake Temple (Kerala) :
The temple is located in the middle of the lake in Kasargod Kerala is actually a mysterious temple of India. The mysterious thing about Anantha Padmanabha Swamy lake temple is that it was guarded by a Predatory animal who adopted a vegetarian diet throughout his life.
The world’s most feroscious meat eating creature crocodile used to eat only a temple prasad including cooked rice and jaggery. After the afternoon worship, the devotees used to feed the Prasad to this soft-hearted crocodile with their hands without any hesitation and it’s name was Babi. It was living in this Pond or lake for the last about 70 years and it mingled well with humans.
The history of this mysterious temple of Kerala date back to the 9th century. Inside the roof of the temple Pavilion, there is a wonderful collection of wood carving which displays scenes of 10 Incarnation of Lod Vishnu. There was a unique coordination between the temple priest and the vegetarian crocodile babi.
A few months ago, Babi came out of the pond and entered the temple premises. But on the request of the priest, babi returned and entered the Pond, but the sad thing is that babi who was protecting the temple for so many years passed away in the year 2022. Hundreds of devotees were present in his last journey and they respectfully said goodbye to Babi.
05) Konark Sun Temple (Odisha):
This temple is constructed in 1255 C.E, the temple is located in Konark India. The temple is designed as a chariot with 24 wheels pulled by 7 horses. Part of the temple structure collapsed or was destroyed in the 17th century C.E.
It is believed the collapsed structure had a 52 ton magnet at the top. This magnet caused the main statue (idol) to laviate in the air. The wheel of the temple are actually sundials. Precise time can be calculated by the shadows cast by the spokes.
06) Matangeshwara Mahadev Temple (Madhya Pradesh) :
Here every year on Sharad Purnima of the month of Kartik, the prasad is cooked. The length of shivling increases by the size of a sesame seed every day miraculously, shivling is found to be a little longer every year. The Khajuraho temple in Madhya pradesh are a center of attraction for the whole world because of their thousands years old architecture and have been given a place in the world heritage by UNESCO.
According to history, there is evidence of about 85 temples here, but today only about 25 temples are left. The most special among these temple is the Matangeswara Mahadev Temple, Which is the main center of people’s faith. It is believed that the shivling present in the temple becomes 1 inch longer every year on the day of sharad purnima.
The temples officials also measures this miracle with a measuring tape. To know its secret experts also investigated it, but they too were surprised to see this miracles and failed to understand its mystery. The priest of Matangeswara Mahadev Temple tells that this shivling is located 9 feet inside the ground and the same amount above it.
07) Brihadeeshwara Temple (Tamil Nadu) :
This temple is constructed in 1010 C.E. The temple is located in Tanjore, India. It is one of the largest temples in India. Approximately 130,000 tons of Granite was used in the construction. The Kumban (round apex structure) is carved from a single granite rock.
It weighs approx 80 tons and site a top. The temple tower. The Vimanam (temple tower) is 66 meters (216 feet) high. How did the workers 1000 years ago manage to lift an 80 ton carved stone this high without any cranes or lifting machines, still remains a mystery.
08) Padmanabhaswamy Temple (Kerala) :
There is no exact date of origin of this temple. The temple is located in Thiruvananthapuram, India. It is the richest temple in the world. Gold and jewels worth $22 Billion are stored in underground vaults. Only 5 out of the 8 vaults have been opened till date. Vault B in the temple is the most mysterious and remain unexplored.
A chamber in the vault is sealed with an enormous iron door. The door has two massive Cobras painted on it with no means of entry. It is claimed that the door can only be opened by a mystic chant. It is believed that opening this chamber any other would bring great misfortune.
09) Nidhivan Temple (Uttar Pradesh) :
Nidhivan of Vrindavan in Up. It is said that here every night Lord Krishna performs raas with the Gopis. This is the reason why the evening aarti is performed. After 7.00 pm, nidhivan is closed and no one stays there after that. Even the animals and birds present during the day leaves the place as soon as the evening falls.
It is said that if a person tries to see raas leela, he goes mad. About 10 years ago, a krishna devotee from Jaipur tried to see raas leela by hiding in Nidhivan, when he taken out of the gate in the morning he was found unconscious and his mental balance had deterorated.
There is also a rang Mahal inside Nidhivan where it is believed that Radha and Krishna come every night. Before 7.000 pm, a sandalwood bed,a lot of water, Radha ji’ s makeup items like Toothpicks and paan are kept in the palace. In the morning, when the doors are opened the bed is found untidy, the Lota is empty, the Toothpicks is crushed and the paan is eaten. Devotees gets makeup items in the Prasad.
10) Kailasa Temple (Maharashtra) :
It is located in Ellora in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. The mysteries of this temple remains a challenge for today’s science and it is a wonderful proof of our Glorious history and civilization. The kailasa temple was built by Rashtrakuto King Krishna. Between 756 and 773 AD.
However, not much information is available about the technique of building this Shiva temple and the person who build it. The construction process of this temple is a very unique usually, pieces of stones are stacked. One above the other to build a temple or a building, but the Kailasa temple was carved by cutting the top of a mountain from top to bottom. Pillars, Gates, carvings and other structure were made by cutting the stone.
The design of the temple, water storage system, drain, beautiful Balconies, Stairs and secret underground paassages. Everything was carved from stone. Scientist believe that about 4 lakhs people were involved in this process. Tons of stones would have been removed,which would have been possible only if about 7000 laborers worked for 150 years, but the Kailasa temple was built in just 17 years. Even with todays modern equipments it is considered impossible to build another Kailasa temple like this.
11) Karni mata Temple (Rajasthan) :
This temple is located in The Deshnauk about 30km from Bikaner City. The architecture of this temple looks like Mughal style. This temple is a mysterious and interesting as it is beautiful. Thousands of rats live in it, including some white rats.
It is said that these white rats are the sons of Karni mata and that is why these rats have been given the status of God and are worshipped. Not only this , the prasad available in the temple is left over by the rats, but till date no diseases has spread from it.
12) Jwalamukhi Temple (Himachal Pradesh) :
Jwalamukhi Temple is one of the 51 shakti peethas of mother Bhagwati and it is also known as Jotaawali temple. According to Mythological beliefs, the tongue of the mother had fallen at this place. Here the mother is seated in the forms of Jwala and Lord Shiva is situated in the form of unmat Bhairav.
The miracle of this temple is that there is no idol here, but a flames coming out from the womb of the earth are worshipped. Till date no one has been able to know the secret of how these flames are coming out. Many Geologists also did excavation to understand this mystery, but they could not find out from where this natural gas is coming out. The most interesting thing is that no one has been able to extinguish these flames.
These Nine Flames have religious significance, which are a flames of the mother. The biggest flames in the temple is known as Mata Jwala devi, while the other 8 flames are the symbols of Maa Annapurna, Maa Chandi, maa Mahalaxmi, Maa Saraswati and Other forms.
